The first ever geophysical survey of Gallows Hill, Dungarvan will be carried out between 10, 11, 12th of July. The survey headed by geophysicist Kevin Barton, will be a non-invasive, non-destructive survey.
Modern technology will be used in the survey and the main thrust of the survey will be to determine if any evidence remains for:
- Anything having been built on top of the mound.
- Is there anything inside the mound?
- Is there any geophysical evidence of an earlier monument under the ground.
There will also be children's events supervised by certified personnel. Watch out for a press release.
