A
3D look at Waterford's Archaeology.
3D photography has opened up a whole new world in Archaeology. Waterford County Museum, Dungarvan are very lucky that Simon Dowling has become involved in a number of our projects. Simon is a community pharmacist in Waterford with a background in computational modelling and engineering. He has a keen interest in applying the emerging scanning technique of photogrammetry to Archaeology with some revealing and startling results. Simon is pictured here creating a 3D image of a recently discovered stone on the outskirts of Dungarvan for us.
Simon’s
talk is going to be quite fascinating. It takes place at the wonderful venue, Dungarvan Sailing Club on the quay on Wednesday March 11th at 8 p. m.
Admission is €5.
