New Acquisition Certificate for Recognition of Valour to Capt. John Veale




The Museum is proud to add to its collection the Gilded Framed Certificate presented to Capt. John Veale in recognition of organising the crew that rescued the crew of the Moresby.

In "Recognition of Valour"

"For having bravely volunteered to man the Lifeboat when the regular crew refused, and assisted in saving seven of the crew of the ship (two of whom succumbed) Moresby wrecked in the Whitehouse bank during the dreadful storm of Christmas Eve 1895"
