New Waterford History Book by Julian Walton



Museum member Julian Walton will launch his new book titled
 "On This Day"

The book contains a selection from the programmes broadcast on WLR FM between 1994 and 2012. It is to commemorate eleven centuries of the history of Waterford City and County.

A new film by Eddie Cantwell and Fionn Mac Giolla Chuda tiltled "A walking history of St Joseph's Hospital, Dungarvan 1930s-1970s will have its premiere in Dungarvan

Michael Brennan (who grew up in the gate lodge) takes the viewer on a tour of the complex and talks about the personalities, staff, doctors, death, farm work and the history of the buildings.

The film makers have kindly agreed to donate any profits on the night to Waterford County Museum.
