Event for Heritage Week at Museum

Darren Getting a Helping Hand from a Young Visitor

In conjunction with heritage week, education officer Helen Moynihan organised an event "Tell a Tale" for the children.  This was held in the museum on Saturday 20 August.
The afternoon consisted of story telling, quizzes and colouring.  Helen told the children some of the history of the town and then they heard the story of the Salmon of Knowledge from Darren Moynihan.
The children  enjoyed some time drawing pictures of the salmon and answering questions on the story.
As always well done to Helen and Darren for organising and  putting on the event.
